THE UNVEILING OF THE FOCAL LITTORA SPEAKERS

Right after the Bathys headphones release, Focal is gracing us once more with the Littora outdoor speakers. According to Focal, the Littora Line brings high-end sound quality to your outdoor spaces with speaker drivers and loudspeakers as high-performing as they are discreet, and as hard-wearing as they are elegant.

We’re looking at 3 outdoor speakers from the Littora Line:

1. The Focal OD SAT 5
2. The Focal OD STONE 8
3. The Focal OD SUB 12

Not only that, but you’re also looking at 5 in-wall ceiling speakers from the Littora Line:

4. The Littora 200 ICW6

In total, Focal promises 8 outdoor speakers within their entire Littora Line. But what should you expect from this line?

The Focal Littora Line

The Littora 1000

According to Focal, the Littora 1000 is built for yachts or any structure located in a coastal environment or for any wet area such as a spa. The Littora 1000 products offer Focal’s pure sound at sea and on dry land.

The 1000 ICW8 and 1000 ICW10 are built into the walls and the 1000 ICW SUB10 subwoofer acts as a complementary addition to these speakers.

The Littora 200

The Littora 200 is also suitable for listening sessions in marine settings (yachts) and wet environments (spas, steam rooms, etc.) The Littora 200 comprises two in-wall and in-ceiling speaker drivers (the compact 200 ICW6 and ICW8 speaker drivers).

The Littora OD STONE 8

The Littora 1000 & 200 speakers look great, but what really caught our attention in the Littora Line is the egg-shaped speaker: the OD STONE 8. It’s available in textured Limestone, Basalt, and Sand finishes allowing it to blend seamlessly into any outdoor area. 

The OD STONE 8 is IP55 certified and features anti-UV treatment, to withstand adverse weather and extreme climates. It integrates a bass-midrange speaker driver with an Iris IP cone (7 7/8” / 20cm) and an Aluminium ‘M’-shaped inverted dome tweeter for high-quality sound reproduction. Thanks to its integrated transformer, it is 70/100 V compatible and can cover large spaces with no loss of power. 

What about the other outdoor speakers?

The OD Sub 12 is a semi-buried subwoofer that promises to bring the subterranean foundations to your outdoor soundtrack. Lastly, the OD Sat 5 speakers complete the entire set of outdoor speakers. They can be wall-mounted or even planted in the ground via optional spike fitments.

What’s The Release Date Of The Focal Littora Line?

You’re looking at a New Year release date if you want the outdoor speakers of the Littora Line. Fortunately, Focal will release the in-door speakers of the Littora Line in November 2023.
