The SIVGA SV023 Walnut Earcup Headphones Available Now
Chinese manufacturer Sivga is back again this year with the SV023 headphones. They showcase walnut earcups and 50mm custom drivers at a fraction of the cost. We’ve talked about wooden earcups before. The Sivga SV023 headphones aren’t the first ones. Remember the ATH-WB2022 wooden wireless headphones from Audio Technica?
The ATH-WB2022 has a £2,600/ €3000 price point, on the other hand, Sivga offers the SV023 at £449. That’s a drastically lower price point. So what makes the SV023 different from any wireless headphones that use wood as a material? Here’s everything we know.
The Sivga SV023 Wireless Headphones
The SV023 features 50mm custom drivers comprised of a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) composite cone with a Beryllium-plated center. This design choice provides a strong dynamic, high fidelity, and wide extension sound quality.
These drivers come in natural walnut wood housings with soft memory foam earcups, perforated with air holes. Not only that, but the steel headband comes with genuine leather and stainless steel providing a comfortable experience from the 318g headphones. According to Sivga, the headband is ergonomically designed for comfortable wearing without pressure.
The Sivga SV023 delivers a frequency response of 20Hz – 40kHz, 105dB sensitivity, and an impedance rating of 300Ω.
The headphones come bundled with a 2-meter 4.4mm balanced cable. The detachable high-purity 6N OCC cable ensures high-resolution sound. It features four strands of braid each composed of 30 0.08mm cores and 250D break-proof wire.
You also get a 4.4mm balanced to 3.5mm single-ended adaptor and a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adaptor, so you can use it with other devices.
