Reveal Of The ELAC Miracord 80 Turntable

ELAC’s Miracord 80 is out & available.

ELAC’s been making turntables since 1948. Now the brand delivers on the promise they showcased at the 2022 High-End Show earlier this year with the Miracord 80 Turntable. The Miracord 80 is a continuation of ELAC’s vinyl playback heritage that kicked things off in 1948.

This year alone has been a flurry of impeccable turntable releases. So what should you expect from ELAC?

The new range-topping vinyl source features a plinth milled from solid wood, which is then finished in high gloss black or walnut veneer. The plinth is complemented by anodized aluminum panels that add further stability and mass. The entire turntable tips the scales at 14 kg.

The Miracord 80’s 5.6kg platter features a complex bearing design belt-driven by a PID servo-controlled DC motor whose optical control ensures impressive speed stability (+/- 0.33 % @ 3 kHz) and a claimed < 0.15 % Wow & Flutter.
