Scansonic Releases Four New Speakers
Danish audio company Scansonic released their upcoming speakers.
Scansonic revealed their upcoming speakers to their M and L series. The M-series will contain one new addition, while the L-series contains three new units to the series.
The Scansonic M-Series
You can look forward to the new addition, the Scansonic M Onwall speaker. A wall-mounted speaker. We’ve seen the M Center, M 10, M 20, and M 40 speakers, and finally, we have a mountable speaker in the series.
What should you expect from the M Onwall? According to Scansonic, the M Onwall is suitable for home theater, stereo, and 2.1 listening. They designed it as a multipurpose speaker. It carries a ribbon tweeter made of Kapton and aluminum, which comes alongside a 4.5″ woofer with honeycomb enforced glass-fiber cone supported by a downward-firing bass reflex port.
The Scansonic L-Series
The other three speakers belong to the L-Series. You can look forward to the L Onwall wall-mounted speakers, the L 7 stand mount speakers, and the L 14 floor standing speakers.
The L Onwall is a mountable speaker. It has a depth of only 10 cm and carries the bass reflex port on the front. It comes with a Kevlar woofer/midrange driver.
The other two new L-series loudspeakers come with one ( the L 7) or two ( the L 14) bass/midrange drivers with unique paper cones in a sandwich construction each. Similarly, the speaker cabinets of the new models are said to be particularly resistant to resonance thanks to bracings and increased wall thickness.
All four speakers are currently available at their respective distributors. What do you think about Scansonic’s new release? We’d love to know, so leave a comment below.
