KEF Launched The LS60 Speakers

British audio company KEF launched their LS60 Wireless Speakers.

The LS60 is part of KEF’s 60th Anniversary launch, and looking at their LS Series, it does not disappoint. In fact, it goes above and beyond the LS50 Wireless II and the LS50 Meta.

Features Of The KEF LS60

The LS60’s Wireless’ Single Apparent Source configuration comes with KEF’s 12th Generation Uni-Q with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) driver array. KEF optimized this feature on the LS60 Wireless.

You can expect several refinements, including a tweeter gap damper and a new Z-Flex surround that ensure a near-perfect sound transition from the speaker into the room.

You can also find two pairs of 5.25-inch Uni-Core driver arrays on the LS60’s sidewalls. We first saw this on the KC62 subwoofer.

KEF mounted the bass drivers back-to-back in a force-canceling arrangement, so cabinet vibration is practically eliminated. Furthermore, it comes with KEF’s P-Flex and Smart Distortion Control Technology.

It ensures that the low-frequency performance is as balanced and detailed as the audio derived from the Uni-Q driver array.

The drivers produce a combined 1400 Watts via amplifiers dedicated to high, medium, and low frequencies within each speaker.

KEF includes their Music Integrity Engine in most of their speakers, and the LS60 is not excluded. The LS60 delivers a perfectly timed audio performance with better imaging and a tighter sound. The MIE also features a low-frequency phase correction.

The KEF LS60 Connectivity Options

  • You can connect the speakers via a wired connection (24bit/192kHz)
  • KEF’s low-latency intelligent wireless interspeaker connection gives you reliable cable-free listening to 24bit/96kHz.

More Features Of The KEF LS60

The LS60 Wireless streams wirelessly using Wi-Fi, Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, and Bluetooth, with the KEF Connect app giving you access to Amazon Music, Qobuz, and Deezer as well as internet radio and podcasts.

KEF also added optical, coaxial, and RCA sockets for turntable, CD, or gaming console users. Furthermore, The KEF LS60 comes with an HDMI (eARC) port and even adds a pair of subwoofers using the sub out port on each speaker.

The KEF LS60 comes in three finishes Titanium Grey, Mineral White, and Royal Blue. You can find more information from KEF LS60 here
