Focal Unveils The 100T Series
French audio company Focal released its new speakers series, The 100T Series.
The last we heard from Focal was from the ISE 2022 Show in Brazil where they showcased the 300 ICA6 speaker. Focal has now graced us with a new series, the 100T Series.
The 100T Series
The series comprises of five built-in and outdoor loudspeakers.
- The 100 OD8-T
- The 100 O6D-T
- The 100 ICW8-T
- The 100 ICW6-T
- The 100 ICW5-T
Here’s what you should expect from the 100T Series.
The 100-T Series products come with an adjustable transformer that adjusts the power of the loudspeakers for 70 volt/100 volt systems. Once you link them, they cover a massive listening area.
The In-wall/In-Ceiling Speakers
The 100 ICW8-T, ICW6-T, and the ICW5-T are the in-wall speakers of the series. All the in-wall speakers come with Focal’s exclusive Polyglass clone.
The 100 ICW5-T
The ICW5-T comes with a 5″(13cm) midrange speaker driver with a Polyglass cone and a 1″(25mm) Aluminium tweeter.
The 100 ICW6-T
The 100 ICW6-T loudspeaker comes with a 6″(16.5cm) midrange speaker driver with a Polyglass cone and a 1″(25mm) Aluminium tweeter.
The 100 ICW8-T
The 100 ICW8-T loudspeaker comes with an 8″(21cm) midrange speaker driver with a Polyglass cone and a 1″(25mm) Aluminium tweeter.
The Outdoor Speakers
The 100 OD8-T and the 100 O6D-T are the outdoor speakers of this series. Here’s what you should expect:
The 100 OD8-T & The 100 OD6-T
They both have an 8-ohm position to meet the needs of conventional systems. Furthermore, Focal fitted them with a high-density, shock-absorbing, UV-treated cabinet and is IP66* certified, meaning they are watertight and dust-proof.
It is easy to install and position with the mounting bracket and a rotation system. And for seamless integration, the grill and cabinet are available in a black finish or white ready-to-paint.
The 100 OD8-T and 100 OD6-T differ in size. The 100 OD8-T is (25.8 × 28 × 39cm) and the 100 OD6-T is (22.4 × 25.6 × 31.9cm).
